Importing, exporting & cloning processes
Often different processes have similar structures and it is useful to reuse the configuration. In these cases you can clone the original process and edit the copy. It can also be useful when you want to make modifications to a process, but you don’t want to mess up the original one.
To clone a process, go to My Processes (only visible to Administrators and Business Analysts) and enable the advanced options by clicking the three dots on the right side of your screen.
This will enable new buttons to the right of each process. To clone the process click on the following button:
Cloning a process will automatically create a copy of the selected process.
Since two processes cannot have the same name or ID, you must change that setting before saving the clone.
In case you have different accounts in Flokzu (for example one for testing and another for putting processes into production), you can export the process from one account and import it into another. This can also be useful for consultants who model the process for their clients and once they are finished, they import them into the client’s account.
To export a process, go to My Processes (only visible to Administrators and Business Analysts) and enable the advanced options.
This will enable new buttons to the right of each process. To export the process click on the following button:
Exporting a process will download a .flokzu file. The information included in the downloaded file is the general configuration, the form and the workflow. The tasks assignments will not be exported.
To import a process you must do it from the account where you want to save the process.
In the My Processes section (only visible to Administrators and Business Analysts) click the “New process” button and then click the "Import existing" button
After clicking on it, a popup will open when you can attach the previously downloaded .flokzu file.
