What is an 'API key'? How to generate it?

API stands for Application Programming Interface. Once you create an API key in Flokzu, you can then link your account to other apps without the need to share your password or any confidential data.

Flokzu distinguishes between the API Key that allows access to instance data, and the API Key that allows User Management.

Generating an API key in Flokzu

Administrators can create an API Key going to ‘Configuration’ > ‘Advanced’. Once there, they must click on the following button:

Once you generate an API key, remember to save the configuration.

If you already had an API key and you generate a new one, any integrations that used the previous API key will not work any longer.
