What happens if I modify or delete a field?

Modifying a field

Changing the name

Modifying the name of a field can cause some functionalities or configurations in which that name was involved to be affected and cease to function correctly. When the field name is modified, the following sections should be reviewed:

Formulas in an script-type autocalculated field
Task Scripts
Print Template
Featured Fields
Fields in the content or subject of Send Tasks.
Configuration of the Service Tasks.

Modifying data type

Flokzu will only let you change the data type of your field to another one that allows you to preserve the information you have already entered in active process instances. Otherwise you would lose the
information from those process instances if the fields weren't compatible with one another.

Deleting a field

If you delete a field you will lose the information it contained in all the active process instances.

It is important that before deleting a field you check if it was used as a condition in a gateway (exclusive or inclusive), conditional event or used in a timer (interruptive, non-interruptive or intermediate).

If you delete a field and it was used in any of the previously mentioned elements, you could cause inconsistencies in the execution of that process.

Other functionalities or settings might be affected, for example:

Formulas in a script autocalculated field.
Task Scripts
Print Template
Featured Fields
Fields in the content or subject of Send Tasks.
Configuration of Service Tasks.
